Welcome to the weekend of Love! Aphrodisiacs have a long sordid history right up to present day. In this class we will not be tasting rhino tusk or tiger blood (please donate to African conservationists!).

Instead we will be delighting in a few basic foods. The chemistry is easily explanable: some foods contain stimulants, release endorphins, or hormones like Oxytocin and dopamine.

We will cook with Capsaicin (releases endorphins), ginger (releases endorphins), Zinc (Energy), Magnesium (Energy), B12 (Energy), Coffee (Stimulant) and Dark Chocolate (Oxytocin), Bananas (Dopamine).

Champagne is included; wine is available for purchase during class.

The coffee rubbed strip steak includes not just coffee but these aphrodisiac packed herbs and spices: ancho chile powder, ground coffee, brown sugar, paprika, dried oregano, pepper, coriander, mustard, chile de árbol powder, ginger.

Now we don't know know how much you'll have to eat to feel frisky, but you'll have fun, and eat well, trying.
