Sweet & Savory Paleo & Gluten-Free Desserts

Sweet & Savory Paleo & Gluten-Free Desserts

October 18, 2017

7:00pm - 9:30pm

Description

NOTE: Children ages 15+ are welcome to participate in the class without supervision. Each class will begin with a short tutorial on knife skills, as in all of our classes and Herbs & Spices 101.

We've had many customers ask us to help them deal with their celiac and gluten-free diet. But when you're diagnosed with Celiacs or you're told to cut out gluten it's because your digestive tract can't process GMO, dairy, wheat, corn and meat. So if you're a Celiac/Gluten-free you have to change it all. This diet is also very good for those who suffer from IBD, leaky gut and more. Always check with your doctor before starting a program like this.

No matter what, don't dismay! This diagnosis is not a gourmet death sentence. Too the contrary there are so many amazing pre-made Paleo/Vegan/Gluten-Free dishes at the supermarket, and more cookbooks for this condition than there were 10 years ago.

We will be focusing on using cashew nuts in this diet to make sure you get protein--but cashews are tree nuts, so make sure you do not have an allergy.

Paleo is simply eating anything that is not refined...which basically means you're not eating a ton of simple, over processed carbs or wheat products. We like to go with Paleo lite, thereby using non-traditional paleo ingredients like certain oils, but these can be omitted from your dish if you prefer.

Vegan is someone or a dish that uses no animal products, such as meat, or by-products, like butter, cheese and milk/cream. Vegetarian means you are able to eat animal by-products: dairy and eggs.

Now that we've defined the terms, it's time to take the class. This is a new chapter! Embrace it. Your skin is about the clear up. Your hair will get thicker. You might drop a few pounds in the right place. You will definitely stop poor health in its track. No matter what, eating plants is always a good thing.
